The winners of the ITALY CINA 2019 Prize are Niccolò De Napoli (Cosenza 1986) and Violette Maillard (Bourg la Reine 1984). The artists will have the opportunity to spend a period of two months in Beijing, from mid-October to mid-December 2019, during which they will realize the project idea proposed with the tutoring of the National Art Museum of China |NAMOC| and the Italian Institute of Culture in Beijing |IIC-Pechino|.
The winners were selected by a Jury comprised of the Director of GNAM - National Gallery of Modern Art Cristiana COLLU, the art historian Paolo CASTELLI (DGAAP) and the Editorial Director of Exibart Cesare BIASINI SELVAGGI.
The aim of the Prize is to foster the development of the personal knowledge and experiences of the young winners, to support artistic research by comparing different environments in an international exchange perspective and to promote cultural relations between Italy and China.
